About Valentina
I am the Washington D.C.-based reporter for Moneylaundering.com.
I cover financial crime, especially money laundering, terrorist financing, international corruption and sanctions violations.
I originally hail from Bologna, Italy.
Over the course of my career I have reported — on issues from energy to banking to inequality — from Italy, the United States, Afghanistan, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, post-earthquake Haiti, Turkey, and others. When I can, I dabble in travel writing and thoroughly love it.
My pieces, and sometime photographs, have appeared in many different publications. For example, the International Business Times, the World Politics Review, Foreign Policy, Global Post, NPR.org, openDemocracy, and The Washington Post.
This website is meant to be the depository of all my limited knowledge, and a regularly updated archive of my writing and photography.
If you have questions, comments or story ideas and would like to get in touch with me, feel free to use the form below or to drop me an email at vp@valentinapasquali.com.

Valentina,
I was very interested in your article on the foreignpolicy.com website focusing on Italy’s change in direction. Your observations are insightful.
I am drawn to understanding how academic, economic and political strategies are changing to reflect the challenges facing the world, particularly on an environmental and sustainability level.
Starting a PhD this autumn, I would be pleased to have a chat with you about controlling and vetting the content of global communications.
Best regards,
Rosemary

Il luogo di nascita giustifica il tono dei suoi articoli. Quando si e` simpatizzanti politici e` quasi impossibile essere obiettivi. I suoi articoli ne sono la palese dimostrazione (secondo il mio modesto parere)
